Music to Workouts?

Hi.. new here? To get regular updates/news from this site why don't you subscribe to my RSS feed or sign up for email updates. Thanks for visiting!

Something just struck in my head…

Does the music make a difference?

I attended a kickboxing session in mint fitness in Mumbai and I think it does.

I mean… just how many of you have worked out like monsters after seeing rocky? :D

or ran that extra mile, listening to: We are the champions?

So whats the point of this post?

Burn CDs which have inspirational fast music, you dance along with the music of course similarly you could run with it or lift weights as the music hits your ears: ‘we will we will rock you’

its easy to lose motivation, there is a saying here in India:

‘Kaam karneke soh bahena naa karneke hazaar’

meaning: There are hundreds of reasons to do hardwork and thousands to not

Many people who initially started gymming with me were like: who needs muscles, I have this I have that.

If you concentrate well on the hundred reasons which make you want to do the hard work, life will become way more simple

Kickboxing and your Sex Life

Posted by Vinesh on September 1st, 2007

Well… For the most of it you should have an idea.

In Kickboxing, you are made to kick heavy bags, punch them, conditioning your muscles towards impact.

How does that help?

Conditioned muscles mean more endurable muscles.

Means you are more resilient and can take more muscle damage and can move your body in ways which it would hurt usually.

2.) The Workouts

Kicking and punching for a long time, Pushups, Squats and Crunches.

First of all, it makes you look sexier as a lot of fat is burned.

I mean the first step towards sex is to be sexy enough to turn on your partner.

3.) Development of a powerful core

This is why I think Kickboxing takes more effect than Yoga

if you are not into the smooth things and want to go wild the core developed by swiss balls and medicine balls will do wonders.

The beastly power in the guy’s thrusts and the rigid tight figure of the girl…

I mean, its good for both Sides.

Recommended Workout?

Okay, It goes something like this:

1.) High Speed Jogging

2.) Wake up with 10 pushups

3.) 50-60 side kicks, roundhouse kicks, hook kicks

50-60 jabs, uppercuts, hooks

4.) 30-50 traditional crunches

5.) 30-50 Squats

IV.) Stretching

For what its worth, a flexible body makes you a good dancer and a more limber partner too.

This makes your body damn tough and work like a machine.

Also on the plus side, it makes your joints work better.

So Kickboxing or Yoga to enhance sex life?

If you are under 30 and can bear exhaustion every alternate day: Kickboxing

Any age but with no intentions to go wild like an animal: Yoga

I will post something on Tai Chi and sex soon

Kickboxing and bodybuilding

Posted by Vinesh on August 23rd, 2007

Kickboxing and Bodybuilding.

Personally, I believe this is the most awesome workout you can ask for in terms of having both a strong and lean body.

Let me explain why should you prefer a kickboxing package over a gym.

Kickboxing packages are actually more expensive, however I think its more than worth it provided:

1.) Nutrition counselling

2.) bodyweight exercises/ weight training

3.) Self Defence training

4.) Personal attention

it is much easier to walk on a machine treadmill, I mean its so obvious that kicking and punching makes your body use itself much more.

So the fat loss actually gets WAY faster.

and not just that, if you technically look at it:

treadmill, stationary bike and stepper exhaust you MORE because whether you are kicking or running on a balanced machine, you are putting efforts.

So ultimately you get exhausted LESS and burn MORE.

However, if you are into something which goes: ‘I want looks, fuck everything else’ then you should hire a personal trainer and go to a gym and regularly take supplements.

So how does it help someone obese or unfit enough to do pushups and squats?

Simple enough… start with what you can, like modified pushups, do simple leg raises with ankle weights and work with dumbells first before going for weight training.

why?

gain strength and do the tough work.

And yes, if you ask the trainer about you being not able to do something, HE WILL OFFER AN ALTERNATIVE which will eventally make you capable enough for the hard things.

Secondly, pick a time in the morning for your batch, the weight related exercises will burn fat throughout the day.

And in about 3-4 months, your body will be conditioned and aware enough for basic self defence.

And if you work on the psychological aspects, girls will be prepared to defend against rape WITHIN A SINGLE SESSION.

How?

I will explain that in another post.

Kickboxing for different age groups:

teens:
This will help increase height maybe 2-3 inches if you are very dedicated to kickboxing training.

You can get your six pack.

battle ready and a possible career in the field.

working class hero:

to see the great benefits of kickboxing, the first criteria in daily practice.

However, if you are burning the same time in the gym, I suggest you invest here instead,

the reasons being:

1.) because the gym cardio fails to complete ultilize your body, it will not completely work your legs hence resulting into very less long term benefits in terms of having enough stamina to last throughout the day and the extra stamina once the day is over.

You need a strong body regardless of who you are and what you do.

2.) faster fat burning, I know its hard maintaining the sexy frame once you have to deal with work… so its worth the time and money put in it.

3.) Self Defence

Women:

1.) The constant kicking will give you a damn tight butt and shapely thighs

2.) SELF DEFENCE GUARANTEED!!!

3.) you can look hot, hit good, get more energy… I mean what else can you ask for?

Above 45:

Not Recommended.

Modifications:

Use every sunday to recover. just stretch in the sunday.

if you can, take a massage.

And yes, add salt to your bath daily (hot water). will help soothe anything that is sore.

Try stretching every now and then, does wonders in the long term

I highly recommend Ashwin Mohan for this…
